hi - have been having problems with sendmail configuration. attempts to call the php mail() function get messages returned with the following: [..] <unknown>: No recipients specified" [..] However, the encapsulated message appears to have the recipients address fine
Where do you see that?
(its a test message to my own account). The corresponding log entries in /var/log/mail appear to be:
Oct 2 09:27:36 beowulf postfix/cleanup[11095]: 376921F5A4: to=<unknown>, relay=none, delay=1, status=bounced (No recipients specified)
Here's why it bounces.
Oct 2 09:27:36 beowulf postfix/qmgr[9938]: 52C4B1FC45: from=<>, size=1880,
Where the bounce comes from.
to=
, orig_to= , relay=local,
And where the bounce goes to (the original sender)
My entry for the mail function in /etc/php.ini simply sets the path to sendmail (i.e. /usr/sbin/sendmail), which certainly appears to be receiving the mail() function's requests (from 'wwwrun')
But without the recipient parameter. Theo -- Theo v. Werkhoven Registered Linux user# 99872 http://counter.li.org ICBM 52 13 27N , 4 29 45E. + ICQ: 277217131 SUSE 9.1 + Jabber: gurp@nedlinux.nl Kernel 2.6.5 + MSN: twe-msn@ferrets4me.xs4all.nl See headers for PGP/GPG info. +
