In Suse pro 9.1, I installed Snd via Yast. Immediately after installation I could not open any media cdroms (audio or dvd). How did you try it?
Error message is "could not enter folder /media/cdrom" In the command line I cannot mount the drive manually, the message is bad superblock. Now, you can't mount audio-cds, for example. The haven't a filesystem. You can try it with the konqueror: audiocd:/ or play it directly with xmms, xine, mplayer or whatever.
I have no problems with data cds.
I uninstalled snd, again using yast, but the problem remains. hmm
