I use SuSE 9.1 with kernel 2.6.8 vanilla, and everything is fine. Kernel 2.6.9 has recently been released, and I don't know if I should upgrade. Does anyone know if it is any good?
It is working well for me here. I am using it on an x86_64 machine. One thing I found out about it is to configure capabilities into the kernel (security), not as a module. It also allows my power supply to power off on a shutdown, which it hasn't since I have had it (only a couple months). Its a winner to me. -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Registered Linux user 231871
