I have tried it and it doesnt work. I have also tried linux
3. The broblem is that suse boots in a resolution of
1024x768@85 so init 3 will not help.Does suse have a option
to set the resolution before it boots?

It would have to be just "yast" in run level 3, not yast2, and I believe you can just type a plain "3" in the boot prompt. But I'm just picking on you :-)
