I just upgraded my kde to 3.3 on SuSE 9.1, and now the wheel on my trackball moves the cursor sideways! SuSE thinks it's an explorer PS/2 wheelmouse, just as it always has (It's actually a Logitech marble, but I don't care if SuSE calls it fred as long as it works.)
I don't see a setting for 'rotate mouse wheel 90 degrees', but I'm hoping there's a way to fix this... Anyone know what it might be?
do you have a backup of your /etc/X11/XF86Config this is the section from mine to make a two wheel mouse work horizontal and verticle scrolling. You may have to hack the file directly and restart x via init3 init5 Section "InputDevice" Driver "mouse" Identifier "Mouse[1]" Option "ButtonNumber" "7" Option "Buttons" "7" Option "Device" "/dev/mouse" Option "Name" "Autodetection" Option "Protocol" "ExplorerPS/2" Option "Vendor" "Sysp" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5 6 7" EndSection _______ _______ _______ __ / ____\ \ / / ____|_ _\ \ / / | | \ \ /\ / / (___ | | \ \ / / | | \ \/ \/ / \___ \ | | \ \/ / | |____ \ /\ / ____) |_| |_ \ / \_____| \/ \/ |_____/|_____| \/
