Kmail Groupware tab question

I just noticed that in Kmail, under Settings/Misc/Groupware there is a checkbox for "Enable IMAP resouce functionality" What is this for? I have an IMAP server and I'm wondering what this will do for me? I've tried to read up on it on the net but never found a simple explanation. Also, under Settings/Network/Receiving then once the account is selected and Modify is clicked, I see Filtering and a check box for "Server Supports Sieve". I have SmartSieve setup on my IMAP server.
