Hi all Im having this issue on a test PDC samba server. Tried to make a win2k machine a domain member, it asks the name and password to join the domain, then enter root and passwd... it takes about 1 or 2 minutes, then it says "welcome to tmq2", it seems ok, then restart to make changes take effect, BUT, just before having to press ctrl-alt-del, it appears an error message about a repeated machine name (dont have the exact message english, the spanish is "Existe un nombre duplicado en la red"), the fact is i cant start session but on the same machine. I double checked everything and i am stuck, help please. This is part of smb.conf: [global] workgroup = tmq2 server string = Server test bind interfaces only = Yes passdb backend = tdbsam security = user map to guest = Bad User username map = /etc/samba/user.map unix password sync = Yes passwd program = /usr/bin/passwd add machine script = /usr/sbin/useradd -c "Cuenta de equipo" -g machines -d /dev/null/ -s /bin/false %m$ add user script = /usr/sbin/useradd -c "Usuario NT" -g users -s /bin/false -m %u delete user script = /usr/sbin/userdel -r %u add group script = /usr/sbin/groupadd %g delete group script = /usr/sbin/groupdel %g add user to group script = /usr/sbin/usermod -G %g %u logon path = logon home = \\%N\%U logon drive = F: os level = 65 domain logons = Yes preferred master = Yes domain master = Yes local master = Yes wins server = 150.2.1.252 default service = homes # panic action = printer admin = @ntadmin, root, administrator veto files = *.mp3 Thanks in advance LeoR
