I didn't say the first UNIX GUI, I said the first GUI was in the 70's. WIMP. Richard Stallman says it was the 60s - 70s where the first hackers at MIT started doing their thing. MULTICS was what became UNIX And according to AT&T, it was 1968 for UNIX, and MULTICS was earlier. Ken Thompson had worked on the Multics system, and in 1968 he wrote Unix which had a lot of features inspired by his work on Multics. Unix was rewritten in C in 1970. -- Jerry Feldman
