unless you want to spend Xeon money, AMD AthlonMP is pretty much your best I guess it was an expensige PC but I can say it worked with both SuSE 9.0 and 9.1. Sad to say that the new corporate policy toward Linux is very negative as a result of the SCO case and I have to remove Linux at work :-(
option. I'm sorry to hear you've had problems with AMDs so far, but that shouldn't be the norm. I'm responsible for a large number of servers and I too have had good luck with AMD. My father is quite satisfied with his HP that has an AMD processor. If I had the money now, I would buy the HP with AMD 64 processor. Isn't 64 good as 2x32? Although feeble humor attempt, can someone with more knowledge say whether or not the AMD 64 is simililar in performance to having two AMD 32 processors?
