Greetings How do you get suse or yast to scan for hardware and insert the necessary modules? Could it be that hw_randowm is not loading? It fails at boot time to load : When I try modprobe it it spits out this eep 21 13:39:26 chadlap kernel:
[root@chadlap: ipw2200-0.8]# modprobe -vf hw_random insmod /lib/modules/2.6.4-52-default/kernel/drivers/char/hw_random.ko FATAL: Error inserting hw_random (/lib/modules/2.6.4-52-default/kernel/drivers/char/hw_random.ko): Input/output error
and this is /var/log/messages
hw_random: no version magic, tainting kernel. Sep 21 13:39:26 chadlap kernel: hw_random: cannot enable RNG, aborting rror on the command line
any assistance would be greatly appreciated
