Anyone else tried this?
I know James has updated some of the packages following the original release, but I am getting problems with nautilus crashing frequently; also none of the configuration options seem to work - themes, background changer, etc. Again, they just crash.
Any solution as yet, or I guess they are just teething troubles? Can't really give initial impressions yet, but keep up the good work, James!
Maybe it is the same problem that I have. Try to open an xterm from the Run command, then run a gnome application from the command line in the xterm. I used gnome-terminal It pops up and then crash. In the terminal you can see why it crashed. In my case it was due to a gtk asserion. I cannot remember the exact message. I googled for the error, but could not find any real explanation. I had to downgrade back to 2.4. Funny thing is that it only happens on my laptop. I upgraded to ulb-gnome 2.8 on my workstation without any problems -- Andre Truter | Software Engineer | Registered Linux user #185282 ICQ #40935899 | AIM: trusoftzaf | http://www.trusoft.co.za ~ That's me a nutshell - more nut than shell ~
