1) Anything in the logs? directory: /var/log/, files: boot.msg, boot.omsg, messages, warn 2) What happens if you boot into runlevel 3, login in textmode, and shutdown? 3) Like 2), but run 'startx' and logout of KDE first before shutting down. Cheers, Leen
