LVM-Problem on SuSE 9.0 (2.4.21-231)

Does anyone hav a problem using LVM under SuSE 9.0 with all updates
installed (Kernel 2.4.21-231)? I can't do a vgscan or remove existing
snapshots anymore. The programs just hang endless...
