We are having a problem with telnet sessions dying off and was wondering if anybody else is having the same problem or any suggestions as to what the problem may be.
System Software:
SuSE 8.2 - Can't change this. Xinetd - telnet, ftpd - Can't change these. sshd lpd - Can't change this either. Linux ABI - Need this as well.
Description:
We have an application server that has 150 to 250 telnet users. Occasionally (about once a month), there will be an abrubt, mass die-off of telnet sessions - not all sessions, but most. The Xinetd log says the sessions were stopped with a signal 2. Looking through the sar logs, the system was not under any load at the time of the die off
No high memory usage? No mention of OOM in /var/log/messages?
