fedora core 2 *is* a gcc 3.3 distro.
That is the version suse users should choose, not the debian gcc-2.94.4
version. I'm not sure which part of it isn't working, but whichever part of
nvu is linked to something external (and something is, otherwise they
wouldn't have the above note) will fail to work
