No you are quite right (sorry I am changing jobs at the moment and my
accuracy is a bit off ;o)).
It is actually MPE/iX. We had a version on our previous HP where you typed
something like go unix and it gave one a bash prompt as opposed to the HP
interface (on the same box). Very cool.
Apologies for my mistake..
And.. Yes again - our HP as stated will be taken out of service. The apps
that run on it will be replaced with RAD VB/Oracle based apps by the time
the HP reaches end of life.. This is sad as it is an excellent machine and
I feel we will be opening up a lot of problems by replacing it with
Windows based apps. I think we are doing the right thing, make no mistake,
its just that the HP was a stable rock and it is sad it has to go.
