Greetings, My previous mail was obviously unclear, Let me explain my task and then where I am at. I must setup one PC to have 2 monitors 2 keyboards and 2 mice. This is so that two users can physically sit at the same PC and work at independent Screen keyboard and mouse. I have setup my test box with an agp card and a pci card. splitting them is easy with Sax2. The primary user will use the ps/2 keyboard and mouse the secondary user will use the usb keyboard and mouse I have modified the XF86config file for this purpose. The screens and mice separated easily, but the keyboards are bound by the kernel somehow. I can't find any patches with for the 2.6 kernel for this and I have tried the 2.2 and 2.4 patches. I have also tried the Xfree86 4.1 patch. But considering I am running kernel 2.6 ad XFree86 4.4 it obviously they won't compile. So the only other way is to downgrade, but that won't do because my directors want the 2.6 kernel. So I need a dirty hack so that I can break the keyboards into two separate devices. Could some-one please tell me how to do this or point me to documentation. or show me a different method. I know this works because i got it right in mandrake 10. But SUSe is proving to be a tuff one. However please do not point me to the docs I already have. http://disjunkt.com/dualhead/ http://www.linuxplanet.com/linuxplanet/tutorials/3100/1/ -- ========================================================== Chadley Wilson Production Line Supervisor Pinnacle Micro / Pinteq PTY(LTD) chadley@pinteq.co.za +270112653193 ========================================================== Penguin Power RHCE in the making ==========================================================
