Anyone know of a Linux app that will either view or convert M$ Publisher files. I've Googled but come up empty handed.
Thanks, Darrell
If you really like Publisher, and want to keep using it, you might try Codeweaver's Crossover Office.
Doesn't work, not a priority for them (until a bunch more people ask for it, or 1 person w/ alot of cash). At least that was their line last year as 3.0 was being released. Publisher (from office 2000) does work well (for my wife and daughter) under Nettraverse's Win4Lin. It used to require a 24 bit screen but that may no longer be nescessary w/ version5. It does require a win98 (or winme) installation under linux but its amazing how fast you can install (or reboot) win 98 when it's run on top of an operating system. Another advantage (for some) of win4lin is its ability to run many games I think it supports up to directx8. Games that require cdrom access seem to take more work than I'm willing to put into it but many do work. HTH -- dh Don't shop at ZipZoomFly.com!
