I used the RIP iso to shrink my NTFS partition and create partitions for the
installation of SuSE9.1 onto a Dell Inspiron 1150. Process went smoothly
without a hitch. Both OS's have worked fine for about 3 weeks now. But to be
truthful, I rarely boot the xp, to difficult to work with compared to
SuSE9.1.
You can get the iso at
sunsite.rediris.es/sites2/ibiblio.org/linux/system/recovery
The latest is RIP-10.2.iso.bin. Simply download that, remove the .bin and
burn the rest to a cd. It will be bootable and has a whole bunch of programs
useful to mess with your drives. Be sure to get the Readme.txt and read it
BEFORE you do anything else, cause it will tell you about each program and
how to use them.
The readme even has a howto to boot it from a USB flash drive among other
options.
