Hi all,
I'm looking for a switch to force yast2 to run in ncurses mode even if it's called from an X console. Reason for this is that I'm working on a remote machine with a slow connection. X forwarding is disabled in the sshd_config file, and I'm connecting with ssh -x but, even though X isn't running on the other side, yast2 still tries to open in X mode.
Scratch that "even though" bit. X never has to be running on the remote side to do remote X. There are two ways of doing it. 1. Run it as "yast" instead of "yast2". 2. Run it as "DISPLAY= yast2" (note the space between = and y)
