Hello everyone:
I'm running SuSE 9.1 professional in 64-bit mode on an
AMD Athlon 64 mounted on an Asus K8V Deluxe motherboard.
I seem to be having a number of problems and I've been told
that the main issue is that this motherboard is not fully
supported by SuSE. I've installed from the DVD and then
added the updates but this seems to cause more problems
than it solves.
I've even tried installing SuSE 9.1 in 32-bit mode but that
was even a larger disaster.
If what I've been told is correct, i.e.: the problem is the level
of support for this motherboard, is there an answer or solution
[ No, installing M$ is not an option ]?
Has anyone else with this hardware/software combination
experienced problems and, if they have, have they discovered
a solution? Any ideas or suggestions most welcomed.
Cheers,
Mike
