Well maybe you should try a System Admins knowledge of the system and 
add the location of the new libraries to /etc/ld.so.conf.  Then run 
"ldconfig".  You might also correct that file to match your system.

I will say that I also have a Nvidia card and becareful not to 
overwrite the current same named files.  As I remember 
/usr/lib/tff/files.so
