Result:

tim@linux:~/RPMs/xine> rpm -qa|grep xine
xine-lib-0.99.rc0a-60
xinetd-2.3.12-27
xine-ui-0.99.rc0a-60

Obviously not the current files.

I downloaded xine-ui to this directory.

I thought I'd run rpm -Uvh *.rpm again from this directory. this is the
output:

tim@linux:~/RPMs/xine> rpm -Uvh *.rpm
warning: alsa-1.0.5-0.pm.0.i586.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 5277a2fa
warning: speex-1.1.5-0.pm.0.i686.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID cd3140cd
error: cannot get exclusive lock on /var/lib/rpm/Packages
error: cannot open Packages index using db3 - Operation not permitted (1)
error: cannot open Packages database in /var/lib/rpm

Is the database corrupt? Whats going on here?
