What gcc --version are you running and did you "make cloneconfig" then "make dep" (if applicable) before running NVIDIA*?

there is no reason at all to run any form of make command to get the Nvidia dirviers to work you have not seen a Makefile are you getting the idea ..... i am using Suse 9.0 upgraded to 9.1 but not upgraded the way most people i have seen recomend cus that sucks far as i am concerned . . just cd in the the NVIDIA************* directory and run the nvidia-install file if there is no precompiled modules to suit your kernel then the install program will take care of it for you no need for you to do any make or anything ... but you do need to make absolutley certain you have a complete set 9of kernel sources in /usr/src/linux as far as i am concerned anyother location is INVALID if you enter the usr/src/linux dir and cd into another dir further in you should have .c files if you aint you aint got full sources and no matter what you try Nvidia drivers will NOT build or install .. -- Linux user No: 256242 Machine No: 139931 G6NJR Pete also MSA registered "Quinton 11" A Linux Only area Happy bug hunting M$ clan PGN
