some question and problem on recompile kernel 2.6.5-7.75
1. what is /usr/src/linux-obj use for ?

2. my kernel change from default to lkthomas, which mean it should be
2.6.5-7.75-lkthomas, and I make menuconfig, make bzImage modules, make
install and make modules_install, mkinitrd, then config grub and try to
bootup, the strange things happen on bootup, it said that
/lib/modules/2.6.5-75-default/kernel/fs/.../reiserfs.ko : -1 invalid
format ( what !? isn't I am booting up on 2.6.5-7.5-lkthomas ? why does it
search 2.6.5-7.5-default modules fir to search for modules ? )
OK, I boot my suse back to old working kernel ( the default one ), and
goto check /lib/modules/2.6.5-7.5-lkthomas/kernel/, IT'S EMPTY ?! why is
it empty ? WTF ?!? huh ? isn't I did a modules_install ? and the dir are
created after that command, how come the dir is empty ?

3. is there have any good docs to tell me how to compile this weird
monster ? kernel-doc are kind of useless as it is confusing me even more
I compile kernel since 2.0.x , but never saw such things happen in my life
other than suse, errr....

Thanks.
