I recently updated my SuSE Pro 8.2 to 9.1. The wheel on my Microsoft wheelmouse worked fine under 8.2, but now the pointer just jumps to the far right edge of my screen when I use the wheel. Any ideas?
In 9.1,I think you will find that changes to the mouse configurations (and all X for that matter) are stored in /etc/X11/xorg.conf, instead of XF86Config, as in 8.2. I didn't have one (I guess that YaST doesn't create it, for some reason). I copied (cp) XF86Config to xorg.conf and the settings were there on the next X start. I guess you could try sym-linking xorg.conf to XF86Config, but I didn't. Now, I make changes manually to xorg.conf. Ed Harrison SuSE 9.1, Kernel 2.6.5-17.14-default PolarBar Mailer 1.25a
