I'll go along with that, but from the netiquette guide:
"Bottom line: Excessively long signatures are a waste of bandwidth. So it couldn't hurt to keep your signature file down to, say, six lines max, four lines preferred."
RFC 1855 Netiquette Guidelines http://www.dtcc.edu/cs/rfc1855.html *If you include a signature keep it short. Rule of thumb is no longer than 4 lines. Remember that many people pay for connectivity by the minute, and the longer your message is, the more they pay. I do not doubt your quote but it appears to have been altered from the rfc.
