Perhaps you should look for something like:

/media/usb-storage-A904041300683:0:0:0p1

I'm using a Sony Micro Vault 128 MB (same as you?) and it was automatically
mounted on that address the first time, I used it on Linux. Any time the
stick is connected, I can directly access its content at the address shown
above.

P.S.: it's possible that the Stick and the Modem interfere, but I'm not
sure...
