Virtual NIC Interfaces in 9.1

      SLE Tech People,
                Can any body ilucidate on the process of setting up virtual
NIC interfaces on 9.1.
What is the process (if any) and what is the arrangement & syntax for the
'ifcfg' file. I have tried
several methods but all fail. I need several IPs on the same NIC this was
not a problem in 9.0. The
admin guide discusses it in the network section. But doed not fully explain
the proces and/or related
syntax.
