OS: SuSE 9.1
My user account was the one (besides root) first created during the install. When logging out of KDE, I carefully choose "End Session" and it goings bac to the KDE login box as it should. If I click on the Menu button and Restart or Shutdown and then reboot, when the system comes back up and switches to KDE, my desktop appears though I haven't logged in.
Is this a known problem?
What can be done about it?
(I have even switched users, ended my session and had the new user shutdown the system but my desktop is the one that comes up on restart.)
When you installed the system, you left the "enable autologin for this user" (or whatever it says) checkbox checked when you created your user. KDE Control center->System Administration->Login manager->Convenience Uncheck "Enable auto-login"
