Hello,
My MySQL was working fine but now it won't run. Every time I try to log in I get this message:
linux:/home/nick # mysql -u nick -p Enter password: ERROR 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) linux:/home/nick #
linux:/home/nick # mysqladmin ping mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed error: 'Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)' Check that mysqld is running and that the socket: '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' exists! linux:/home/nick #
Any help on this would be much appreciated.
Did you try actually starting mysql, using "rcmysql start"?
