Not bad but it is possible, don't ask me how I haven't tried it, to permanently mount a specific device at a specific location. On the first try it should query the user as where and what to do with it (e.g. display an icon and automount it, open the filesystem, run an application). I know it's possible through device ID. But the exact method I'm not sure of.
Concluding, subsequent "mountings" of devices with the same ID would just be done automagically.


Look for devlabel. It does something like that.
