Thanks to those that responded - am still having trouble though. During the install, nothing that I do will make Yast detect the disks hanging off the raid card. Although it's a Dell PERC2 controller it's essentially an Adaptec device although I'm not sure of the model. I've tried loading the kernel modules - aacraid loads ok, as do the adaptec scsi modules, but no disks detected - and have tried using "enableapic" at the boot command line, without success. Sounds to me from other posters that this problem has been experienced (and I assume overcome?) by some of you, can anyone remember what they did, it's driving me mad! Thx, George -----Original Message----- From: George Mason Sent: 07 June 2004 01:01 To: Subject: Problems installing SuSE 9.1 on Dell 2300 Hi all, Am having a problem when I try to install SuSE on a Dell 2300 server. It runs ok until I get to Yast, which tells me it can't see any disks. There is a PERC2 RAID controller in the machine, this is working, I checked it beforehand. Also I've tried installing the Adaptec RAID module before running the installation which hasn't helped either. Am a bit of a newbie so this is all rather perplexing. Any help you could give would be very gratefully received! Thanks in advance. George
