Aloha, I am new to Linux. My primary operation system is ECS/OS/2. I want to replace all Win9x with Suse 9.1, however I find that the Personal distribution does not support HPFS. Is there a 'driver' that I can add to the system that will allow me to read and write to my HPFS drives. I am also having problems mounting my USB ZIP drive (formated msdos) which is detected, listed in FSTAB as: /dev/sda1 /media/zip autofs noauto 0 0 (I am writing this from memory while using ECS). Nor can I access my FAT formated partitions on the first harddrive (80gb). C:-win98 fat, D:-storage fat, E: & G: -ECS op sys hpfs, f: & H: -storage hpfs I have installed Suse 9.1 on my second hard drive(20gb). Both of my harddrives are attached to a ATA133 controller; one ide cdrw is one the primary ide as master, mounted. One cdrw is on the scsi controller, mounted. However my UMAX 1200S scanner on the same scsi bus is detected but not useable by KOOKA. My linux partions are hdf6, hdf7, hdf8 and hdf9 for swap, boot, root and /opt respectively. I have not used LVM. I would appreciate any help offered. TIA. Bill** ---------------------- wrsnell@proaxis.com because wrsnell@wrsnell.net has become a SPAMMER's address. ----------------------
