I cannot get Bluetooth to work!!
I followed the description of http://www.hilzinger.hu/ch/bluetooth.html
(second package, since I still use KDE 3.1 as in SuSE 9.0)
I installed the package via YAST, which also asked for the CD 4.
>Using the tools:
>Once installed, launch bluetooth as root:
>rcbluetooth start
NOT FOUND !!!
>Then start the KDE bluetooth demon (as normal user):
>/opt/kde3/bin/kbluetoothd
>Probably you will also have to edit the /etc/bluetooth/hcid.conf file, where
I don't have such directory either!
>I changed the pin_helper from bluepin to /opt/kde3/lib/kdebluetooth/kbluepin
>(for the old package it's /opt/kde3/bin/kbluepin). In this case, you should
>restart the bluetooth system with:
>
>rcbluetooth restart
>
>Finaly start Konqueror and type "sdp:/" in Konquerors URL field. You then
>should see something like this (if not, check if you enabled Bluetooth on
>your phone :-):
I do get the Bluetooth K sign in the toolbar of the screen (beside the clock)
Putting in my Bluetooth dongle and clicking on this gray Bluetooth K sign pops
up Konqueror with the sdp:/ directory containing "Local system"
What can I do next?
bye
Ronald
