WP8 was a victim of the "billion second bug" and when that occurred, the filter for MSword files quit working. Corel never released a patch for the problem before going on hiatus on the Linux version, but another gentlemen did. It sounds as if Corel failed to fix the filter in the newly released version as well. I don't understand Corel wanting to test out the Linux market again with a crippled version of WP8. That's too bad, it's a good word processor. I do not know if the filter fix will work on the newer release, but I have it if you guys want to try it.
