Not done it that way round before-I mean starting with Linux then installing
windows so I have not gone out of my way to find partitioning tools in
Linux.I shall look that up and see if I have any solutions from that
perspective.Otherwise,if you dont mind,you can install xp which,I think,will
probably require you to uninstall suse, then use disk manager in the
administrative tools in control panel to partition so you create space for
linux.
regards Paul.

Yes i thought I can do something like that, in fact I don't wanna run over
SuSE, because right now the disk is totally taken by SuSE 8 all 30 Gb, So
what I need is to make a little room for XP (I know this borg thingy takes
over everything if you let it), without partition magic what can I use ? I
know I can't do an ntfs partition, I don't mean to break this SusE. BTW I
can't run Partition Magic anyway, because the only OS is SuSE 8.
Thank you for your comments and help.

How about partition magic to partition ur hard disk.Should work.I use lilo to do the boot.you should change the file format on your xp to fat32 or just fat as linux will otherwise overwrite it. All the best. Paul.

Hi,
A friend of mine asked me to install Win XP Pro, to coexist along with his SUSE 8, installation I've been out the Linux world for a while, so I can't remember exactly what the best procedure is in that case I know SUSE uses Grub and there I can configure both OSes but i can't remember the name of the software used to re-partition the HDD so it becomes dual boot.
thank you,
