One of the print queues on my printer is showing stopped. I call up the Web Administration tool to start the printer, but it's not taking my password.
When the authentication box comes up, I enter userid "root" and fill in my root password below. After a few moments, the authentication box comes up again; it's not accepting root. I *KNOW* the password is right; I use it frequently.
Is there another way to start this queue?
Probably forgot to add users to the print manager. lppasswd -g sys -a <user name> It will ask for the password twice. Then you will be able to make changes to cups. -- Ken Schneider unix user since 1989 linux user since 1994 SuSE user since 1998 (5.2)
