For me the question still remains open: *why* does this happen now if it never happened before?
Maybe one of the patches from 23-05 did it. You can try to reinstall the
packages that were patched. Run this command to find the patches, and
then reinstall the original packages from the DVD:
ls -lt /var/lib/YaST2/you/installed | awk '$6 ~ "2004-05-23" { print $0
}'
