I'm not sure what's on the floppies. Look in / and see what directories are there. It could just be that it's in a directory there that isn't in your path Worst case scenario: boot with some "linux on a floppy" distro (for example http://www.toms.net/rb/ ), partition, mkswap, then boot the installer, go to alt-f9 and do swapon on the swap partition you create
