Hi again You're right, if I login with a username and password set up in suse and in my windows xp I'm able to access the share, but I can't access if I'm logged with root. In suse 9.0 I was able to access when I logged in as root but now in 9.1 that's not possible. Thanks to all for the help... I execute the command smb://192.168.1.50/d and it ask me for a username and a password, I enter the user and the pass that have permission to access it and after it gives me an error message saying that an unexpected error has happened.
Hi, Jose. Others (including me) are having various problems with Samba in 9.1, but just to be sure in your case this isn't an issue - you need to have a user account set up in XP with the exact same user name and password as is on the SuSE box. Do you?
