Patrick

My apologies if it appears I want to waste people's
time. That is not the case. I had been trying for
some time to get into Yahoo using Kmail and could not
connect... even using suggestions from Yahoo's help
and FAQs. So, I posted my request.

I kept pecking away at the problem. Apparently I
pecked the right place and was able to "knock on the
door." When I read Yahoo's note to me I went back on
line to explain what I had learned... and to read your
suggestion.

I followed your suggestion to look into sourceforge
and fetchmail... now I am back here and find this note
from you.

Again, my apologies - I am still trying to learn this
thing called linux and not return to MS... there are
still a lot of things I need to learn...
* accessing my digital camera
* being able to use my scanner
* being able to record audio input (from old LPs)
* being able to burn CDs
* how to d/l and install programs that are tar.qz
* how to customize the system and not just use off the
shelf stuff
etc., etc., etc.

Anyway, thanks for your information -- and I have no
desire to waste anyone's time... (My wife sure things
I am wsting a lot of my time.)
