When I mount the CD, I see the same tree of files and directories that I get when I mount the .iso on the loop device.
This is a good thing. <snip>
cdrecord -dev 0,1,0 -v speed=8 LiveCD-9.1.iso
(According to the manpage, -data is the default).
This should have worked. I am not sure why it will not boot on your machines. I did the procedure that I described before and it works. If BIOS can boot from CD and you can see the directory structure, then I am not sure. Maybe some others can help. Marshall ------ Out of four machines at home, it only boots on one. The three that it doesn't boot on all have Toshiba DVD drives as hdc. The one that does boot has a Sony DVD at hdc. All machines have a CD-RW drive at hdd. They boot the 9.0 live eval just fine. I had a similar problem when I was testing the Mandrake 10.0 beta. It was resolved by forcing changes in the placement of data on the CD image. Mike
