Man you guys are missing the point here! Stop! Go back before it is too late. I'm warning you. My kids, 14 and 11 had only Linux until they went to school. They never learned Windows. Now I have a steady parade of kids here checking out Linux. I can't get any work done. And they bring me their windows problems. I have a hard enough time keeping up with Linux and to make matters worse, my fourteen year old is starting to scream for root's password.
Don't say I didn't warn you.
These are good problems to have! ;-)
This is fairly closely related, though it deals more with adults. I'd like some opinions on teaching adults with no computer training about Linux. We're talking, uneducated, low-income folks who need new jobs and new lives. I had a discussion with a guy who said outright that he thought it was crazy to try and teach them Linux. If they don't kow anything, what's the harm in teaching them about Linux. I mean KDE, like its MS counterpart, has a desktop, windows, menus, etc. In my personal experience, most of the skills translate rather easily.
