I'm looking for a tool to monitor and log the level of disc usage. Something like the disc tabs in gkrellm, but that doesn't require a gui and that can log the usage and possible generate reports or graphs of some sort.
I use the "classical" sar which is in sysstat*.rpm on SUSE 9.0. Examples: $ sar Linux 2.4.21-202-default (l187) 04/17/2004 12:00:00 AM CPU %user %nice %system %idle 12:10:00 AM all 0.46 0.11 0.33 99.09 12:20:00 AM all 0.26 0.00 0.27 99.47 ... $ sar -b Linux 2.4.21-202-default (l187) 04/17/2004 12:00:00 AM tps rtps wtps bread/s bwrtn/s 12:10:00 AM 0.07 0.00 0.07 0.07 0.98 12:20:00 AM 0.06 0.00 0.05 0.01 0.75 ... -- A.M.
