Fdisk recognises the flash disk as /dev/sda1, formatted as FAT and 256Mb big but when it is plugged in the hotplug thingie does not put the entry into fstab (which it does under kernel 2.4.21-199) for it to be mounted. So, the flash disk causes a beep, the diode lights up, fdsik displays its presence - but after that, zilch, nought, zero.
Suse is making their own hotplug program because the current hotplug program required so many patches to get to work. For now, just add the info to fstab, and if you like an icon on the desktop, and you will be in business. -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Web Address: http://www.mydestiny.net/~joe_morris Registered Linux user 231871 God said, I AM that I AM.
