Hello,

I have installed SuSE 9.0 on a IB ThinkPad R32. I'm trying to get the wireless
network working.

YaST does not detect it.

It is a Cisco Aironet 305 MiniPCI chip with a PCI id of 14b9:a504
I have found several indication that this card is supported by linux:

http://bellet.info/laptop/t40.html#wireless
http://airo-linux.sourceforge.net/

Since YaST does not auto-detect it I am at a loss as to how to configure it.
I tried manually selecting "others" and choosing the AIronet cards (which uses
airo_cs) but that doesn't work, when I run rcnetwork restart I get wlan0:
failed with no error messages about it in the logs that I can find.

I've tried to follow SuSE's instructions but haven't gotten anywhere.

I can modprobe airo_cs (it doens't give any erros) but that does not cause any
more devices to show up in yast or iwconfig - not even it I put an alias in
module.conf

Can anyone give me some advise? I just can't figure out where to go from here
to get this working. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

JW
