Wierd SuSE 9.0/Hotmail problem (maybe Firewall?)

I have 2 seperate machines both with SuSE 9.0 on them. With one I can get to
Hotmail.
With the other one, I get to Hotmail but when it starts redirecting me to the login.passport.com (and other login) sites it just hangs and never completes the redirects.
Both machines are on the same wireless network, the bowser settings are identical for both of them.
The problem occurs with all available browsers (Konqueror, Galeon, Mozilla, Opera, etc, etc).
One machine is an Intel laptop, the other is an AMD desktop. The only difference is that the desktop has personal firewall running and the laptop doesn't. I haven't been able to work out how to switch the firewall off in Yast (The wireless network is protected by an OpenBSD firewall and so is tickety boo...)
TIA
Gordon
