I have bought a new computer which is based on a MSI KT6 Delta series (KT6 Delta-FISR). I have installed SuSe 9.0 on this new machine. Although it is working some of the chipsets where correctly identified during instalation.
The motherboard has the following chipsets: Nortbridge: VIA KT600 Southbridge: VIA 8237 Audio: C-Media 9739A
The drivers installed was for KT400 (Northbridge), VT 8233/8235 (Southbridge) and AC97 (audio).
Does anybody know if the correct drivers exist? If Yes where do I find them?
I have exactly that motherboard with SUSE 9.0, so I don't understand your question. You don't need any external driver to have it work, everything is included in the default kernel. If you're just worried about the text message mentioning KT400, just forget about it. The developer probably needs to update the text, but the driver itself is fine. I've had that motherboard for two months and never had a single problem with it. I'm using the gigabit and Firewire ports everyday, they work flawlessly without any tweaking. There are only two things I haven't tested: - the AC97 sound board as it's a really bad chipset, but it's known to work in Linux, - the SATA controller. It's detected and recognized by the kernel, but SATA support is very new in Linux and it may be prone to errors. I'll wait before I buy a SATA drive.
