Hi, everyone. I'd really appreciate any suggestions for a nice PCI video card for my e-machine running 9.0.
I will be doing word processing, e-mail, and web-browsing. No heavy gaming -- this is an office machine. 3D would be nice (for screen savers and maybe Tux-Racer?? :o) but certainly not the most important thing.
FYI:
The box has a 2.8 Ghz Celeron processor and 512 Mb of Ram. The on-board video chipset (if the information is of any value) is Intel Extreme Graphics 3D 845GV.
Also, I'd prefer NOT to have to deal with NVidia for their drivers, so if the card is not NVidia-dependent that would be a HUGE plus.
One card that has been suggested is the Matrox Millenium G450 (Model G45FMDVP32DB). Is anyone using this card? Like it? Hate it?
